[HASH]canon [HASH]camera [HASH]canon3300 [HASH]s3is [HASH]chdk [HASH]av_dc400 [HASH]avcabel [HASH]miniusb [HASH]miniusb11pin [HASH]cameraremote Working with cameras canon 3300 and powershot s3is. for stopmotion shoot use chdk. It's great but to otput video and shoot by remote, not option. On chdk forum exlained how to make it real, but problem to found 10 pin like mini usb in. Had to wreck existing av cabel. AV_DC400(ST) or IFC-400PCU Seacrhed for a while and or few month. thanks to good people. www.flickr.com/photos/dunehaven/4094250604/QUOTE: Dunehaven11 Pin Canon Pinout Pinout for newer Canon connector with combined USB and AV functions. As seen from end of mating cable (AV_DC400(ST) or IFC-400PCU). Ground is connected to USB Ground. To enable video output on cable and turn off LCD, connect Video Out Enable to Ground. A connector available here can be modified to work. EDIT: It appears that no one stocks the HTC connector anymore. It may be a possible to buy a HTC "ExtUSB" adapter and salvage the connector from it (although I have not tried it myself).
how end up my mess with cabel, will informate later

problem with av cabel from canon i havent got usb contacts, there is place where they should be, but obvious they don't need them for AV so there was nothing I could simply solder to.

so I tryed to add wires in their conector without luck, and almost breaking their plug. - haven't used proper tools. end up adding needles twisted from top off it. wanted to be sure that my conection won't breack after a few plug in, plug out actions. !!DON'T DO THIS WAY!!!!(broke cammera plug) it didn't work because needles touched metal plate of female kind of this 10 pin mini usb. isolated with nail polish and it worked, few times, but too big needles and too strong, so brocke power pin on camera. So LIKE always be careful. now can't use CHDK remotes) using this camera for shoots a lot, so now not going to open it up and fix pin. waiting for ability to by another one and then will try to fix, my mess.
